Colin joined Harman Claytor after more than a decade of service as staff counsel in the highest courts in the Commonwealth.  At the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, he developed a broad knowledge of federal law.  Colin culminated his public-sector career as a Deputy Chief Staff Attorney for the Supreme Court of Virginia, where he assisted the Court in resolving a wide range of appeals, petitions for review of grants or denials of injunctive relief, and petitions for writs of mandamus and prohibition.  His extensive and unique appellate experience is a strong asset when prosecuting or defending an appeal.  Colin will focus his practice on employment matters and defending local-government entities.
