Alexandra “Allie” Ellmauer focuses her practice on the defense of healthcare providers and institutions in complex medical malpractice litigation throughout Virginia. She represents physicians, nurses, dentists, hospitals, and healthcare systems through all stages of litigation, bringing a strategic, detail-oriented approach to high-stakes cases.

Prior to joining Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman, Allie represented healthcare providers and organizations in malpractice and professional liability matters, building a strong foundation for defense litigation. Allie began her career as a judicial law clerk in Roanoke, Virginia, where she gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure.

In addition to her medical malpractice work, Allie handles products liability and professional liability matters. Allie has been recognized for her meticulous preparation, sound judgment, and ability to navigate complex cases efficiently and effectively.

Allie is actively engaged in the Virginia defense bar and has served in multiple leadership roles within the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, including Chair of the Wellness Committee and Chair of the Young Lawyers Division. She has been recognized by Virginia Business and Super Lawyers for her work in medical malpractice defense.

Outside the office, Allie is a dedicated long-distance runner who has completed ten marathons, including multiple runs of the Boston Marathon, which requires participants to meet qualifying time standards. Allie also values spending time with her family and enjoys exploring new restaurants.
