Legal Assistant – Medical Malpractice – Richmond Office:  The ideal candidate will possess 5 – 10 years of civil litigation experience, with a concentration in medical malpractice and/or complicated medical cases and damages.    The applicant will be part of a collaborative three attorney and three paralegal team and thus must be able to work in a team setting. The candidate should also be able to take direction, work independently, have excellent people skills, and enthusiasm for task at hand.  Additional qualifications include proficiency with federal and state court filings and procedures, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and document management software, attention to detail, organization and time management skills.

Job Responsibilities include calendaring, docketing, preparation and editing of pleadings, discovery and correspondence, filing pleadings with federal and state courts, organizing and managing files, some dictation transcription and attorney time entry.
