Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Niya joined Harman Claytor in September 2026. She attended the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she earned her J.D. in May 2025. During law school, Niya gained hands-on civil litigation experience as a student attorney in the Eviction Prevention Clinic, served as Programming Chair of the Black Law Students Association, and competed on the Thurgood Marshall Trial Team.

Following law school, Niya served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Elizabeth S. Morris of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. During her clerkship, she strengthened her legal research, writing, and case analysis skills while working on a wide range of complex civil matters. Niya brings these experiences, along with a strong interest in civil litigation, to her general liability practice at Harman Claytor.
