Brad Michelle is a Partner at Harman, Claytor, Corrigan & Wellman. He concentrates his practice on defending clients in complex and high-exposure litigation, including products liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial disputes. Brad is regularly entrusted with matters involving significant financial, operational, and reputational risk, and he is known for aligning litigation strategies with his clients’ broader business objectives and corporate interests.
Brad brings substantial experience handling matters at all stages of litigation, from investigation and early risk assessment through trial. He has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, frequently working in close coordination with in-house counsel, insurers, and executive leadership. His approach reflects a deep understanding of corporate risk management, emphasizing not only legal outcomes but also the potential impact of litigation on ongoing business operations, public perception, and long-term goals.

Brad earned his Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University in 2014 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2017. He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
He is actively involved in the legal community and is a member of several local and state legal organizations, including the Virginia Association for Defense Attorneys and the Richmond Bar Association, where he has held various positions. Brad has been consistently recognized as a member of Virginia Business Legal Elite and Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
Outside the office, Brad enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter at home and around the city. He enjoys running, hiking, playing soccer, and golfing, and values spending as much time outdoors as possible.
