Rachel is an associate attorney at Harman Claytor Corrigan and Wellman where she will focus her practice on defending clients in medical malpractice cases. Originally from Southwest Florida, she moved to Virginia and graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, earning the Virginia State Bar Section on Criminal Law Award and the Carrico Pro Bono Certificate for serving her community.
Rachel began her legal career as a public defender in Richmond. A fierce advocate for her indigent clients, she litigated hundreds of cases, achieved numerous successful verdicts and rulings, and gained invaluable trial experience. She built expertise arguing complex motions and defending her clients before judges and juries in the Richmond General, Juvenile and Domestic Relations, and Circuit Courts. Rachel continued to hone her trial skills after joining a small firm in Richmond, where she represented clients in criminal and family matters in courts throughout the Commonwealth. She has extensive experience in all stages of litigation, and prides herself on her creative advocacy and client-centered representation.
