Attorney Spotlight – Cindy Foster

Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman’s Attorney Spotlight for February is Cindy S. Foster. Cindy is in her fifth year of practice and has been at Harman Claytor for almost three years. Her practice focuses on general litigation.

1. Where are you from originally? — Chase City, Virginia.
2. Did you have any other profession before becoming an attorney? — I was a Domestic Violence paralegal at the Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
3. How would your best friend describe you in three words? — Self-assured, vivacious, and driven (these are her words, not mine).
4. What is your definition of success? — Slow mornings, freedom, early retirement, and knowing I made a positive impact on at least one person.
5. Years down the road, how would you like to be remembered? — I want to be remembered for being kind, positive, and a mentor for young girls in my community.
6. What’s something surprising/fun that not many people know about you? — I’ve been skydiving and would definitely do it again.
7. Do you have a motto or personal mantra? — “Everything is figure-out-able.” – Cindy S. Foster and “Shoot for the moon. Even if you fail, you’ll still land among the stars.” – Norman Vincent Peale.
8. Do you have any pets? — I have two spoiled American Bullies. They’re super sweet and lovable.
9. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? — Spending time with family and friends, especially my nephews!
10. Describe an interesting hobby or pastime that you have. — I’m teaching myself how to play the keyboard…I played clarinet for seven years, so that helps with reading music, oh let’s not forget about TikTok University.
