Attorney Spotlight – Elizabeth Papoulakos

Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman’s Attorney Spotlight for January is Elizabeth O. Papoulakos. Elizabeth has been at Harman Claytor for eight years and mainly represents healthcare providers, including physicians, mid-level providers, hospitals and long-term care facilities, in the defense of medical malpractice claims and before health regulatory boards.

1. Where are you from originally? — Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia.
2. Did you have any other profession before becoming an attorney? — Prior to going to law school, I was a pharmaceutical sales representative.
3. What is at the top of your bucket list? — Traveling to Venice.
4. What advice would you give your younger self? — Don’t ignore your gut instinct and quit worrying about what others may think.
5. What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years? — Find something—no matter how small—to be grateful for each day.
6. Do you have a motto or personal mantra? — The harder I work, the luckier I become.
7. Do you have any pets? — I have a retired frisbee champion border collie who is now a “bucking bronco” to our two toddlers.
8. What would your perfect weekend look like? — A weekend at the shore with my family to include lots of sun, swimming and restful naps enjoyed by children of all ages.
