1. Where are you from originally? — The Bronx, New York.
2. What is your definition of success? — Being happy and fulfilled with how you spend your days and making a positive difference in the world.
3. What has been your most meaningful accomplishment so far? — My children – Simon (25) and Lara (21).
4. You’re happiest when… — I am floating on my raft in the St. Lawrence River.
5. Do you have a motto or personal mantra? — I have several: This too shall pass; figure it out and solve the problem; and assume nothing, trust no one and preparation wins (which was given to me by one of my first bosses to put on my bulletin board).
6. What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why? — Our children’s day care provider, Benita, came to this country from India. When our children were 8 and 11, our family joined two other families and Benita on a two-week trip to India. It was truly the trip of a lifetime for our group of six adults and five children. We traveled with this same group on similar trips to Italy and Spain.
7. What TV show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love? — Soooo … maybe I watch the Real Housewives to decompress … please don’t judge.
8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? — I have discovered a love of gardening. Our yard does not get a lot of sun, so I am somewhat limited in what I can grow, but I typically grow potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce and jalapeno peppers.
9. What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery? — I have always loved books and would love to buy a bookstore. Customers would tell me about themselves and their interests, and I would find them the perfect book!
