Jason Moyers recognized as a “Go To Lawyer” for negligence law

Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman congratulates Jason G. Moyers for being named a 2025 “Go To Lawyer” for negligence law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly.

Years in practice: 30

Best known for: Being honest and trustworthy, and for developing expertise in my practice areas over three decades.

Why I chose my practice area: I love going to court, analyzing case facts and issues, and finding the best resolution for my client. My practice also allows me to learn about medicine, product design, accounting, and other subjects I wouldn’t otherwise encounter.

Most memorable case: My first jury trial — a subrogation matter involving an icy bridge — and my first Supreme Court of Virginia appearance, where the Court affirmed summary judgment for my client on a standing issue.

What makes me a leader in my field: Paying forward lessons from exceptional mentors and understanding that attorneys are counselors who must manage clients’ stress and anxiety throughout litigation.

Jason G. Moyers

A “Go To Lawyer” is:

  • A lawyer who is an expert in his or her field, well-versed in the nuances of the case law, statutes and regulations clients will encounter.
  • A lawyer who is experienced and enjoys a record of success, with many cases and/or transactions that give testimony to the quality advice he or she can provide.
  • A lawyer to whom other lawyers make referrals because of his or her expertise and accomplishments.
  • A lawyer who can think creatively and identify all options for a client.
  • A lawyer you would name when a friend from another state calls and says they have a client who needs some legal help in a given part of the commonwealth.
