Staff Spotlight – Chandra Wagner
Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman’s Staff Spotlight for July is Chandra Wagner. Chandra has been at Harman Claytor for almost 13 years, but in the legal industry for over 30 years.
1. Where are you from originally? — Borger, Texas.
2. What is a brief summary of your employment background? — I worked in IT at a law firm from 1992 to 1995; then as a legal secretary until 1998, when I graduated from Southeastern Paralegal Institute with my ABA Certificate.
3. What’s something surprising/fun that not many people know about you? — I played professional billiards when I was younger.
4. When have you felt the proudest and why? — My daughter graduated this year with her master’s degree at the age of 22.
5. Describe an experience that has had a lasting impact on you. — Almost losing my son early this year when he was hospitalized for 10 days.
6. What has been your most meaningful accomplishment so far? — Raising two wonderful children.
7. You’re happiest when… — I’m spending time with my entire family.
8. Do you have any pets? — I have a 13-year-old Sheltie named Jenny; an 11-year-old cat named Pepper; and three bearded dragons named Spyro, Zookie and Ember. I also have a freshwater fish tank.
9. What is your biggest pet peeve? — People cutting in line.
10. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be? — Too many places to name honestly but if I had to narrow it down to just one, I would love to visit Ireland.
11. What do you enjoy doing outside of work? — Reading a book, playing video games with my husband/children, and watching true crime tv.
12. Do you have any creative outlets or interests? — I enjoy putting together architecture Lego sets and adult coloring books.
