1. Where are you from originally? — Born and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia.
2. What is your employment background? — I started off at a small firm downtown as an assistant/paralegal for my first real job. I then worked as a Deputy Clerk at the Workers’ Compensation Commission and at Chesterfield Circuit Court. I then returned to being a paralegal at a small defense firm before joining HCCW.
3. What advice would you give your younger self? — Life goes by too quickly, slow down and enjoy the moment.
4. You’re happiest when… — I am camping with my husband and our dog Cletus. We try to camp at least two weekends a month. It’s nice to be able to “get away” even if we are an hour or so away from home.
5. Do you have a motto or personal mantra? — “Always an Adventure” – this is our family motto. Whenever anything happens, we just laugh it off to another “adventure.”
6. Do you have any pets? — I have a cat named Cali and we rescued a Min-Pin and named him Cletus. This way I can say “C’mon Cletus!”
7. What would your perfect weekend look like? — A weekend camping with my husband, daughter, son-in-law and Cletus going to wineries and breweries.
8. Describe an interesting hobby or pastime that you have. — I’m really into visiting breweries and wineries. We incorporate new places or favorite ones in every camping trip that we do.
