Attorney Spotlight – Britton Wight
Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman’s Attorney Spotlight for August is Britton R. Wight. Britton has been practicing law for 12 years, six of which have been at Harman Claytor, and focuses his practice on insurance defense.
1. Where are you from originally? — Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
2. Did you have any other jobs before becoming an attorney? — I worked for a wholesale firearms distributor prior to going to law school.
3. What is at the top of your bucket list? — Visiting one new country each year, even if only for a few days.
4. What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years? — Life is short, and precious, and not to be taken for granted.
5. You’re happiest when… — It’s a sunny day and I’m outside with a beer and some seafood.
6. Do you have a motto or personal mantra? — Fortune favors the bold.
7. What is your biggest pet peeve? — I hate crumbs! On any surface. Drives me crazy.
8. Do you have a favorite quote or favorite line from a movie? — “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” – Dr. Seuss.
9. If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would play you? — Probably Ben Affleck, because people say I look like him (though I don’t see it).
10. Do you have any creative outlets or interests? — I play guitar – though not often and not particularly well.
